Access DOORS application using python

Hello,

I am a beginner in DOORS database Client and python language. I want to Access modules from DOORS database application using python. I want to read, filter and write the attributes of the objects in specific modules.

As I browse through the Forum, I didnt find python api's that can used to perform the above operations. Can any share your thoughts on this?

You are right, there are not such routines. The best way - for me - seems to use the DOORS.Application for this.

Hi Wolfganag,

Thanks for the reply. Do you think we can read/write the specific module paths using OLE Automation? Can you share any support documentation for this ? this is required for me to get an understanding on OLE Automation in python.

Thanks in advance.

"We" cannot do this. I'm not familiar in Phyton. But this automatisation object is very simple. And there are some examples in the doors-dxl-documentation. You only have the methods runFile(filePathName) and runString(sDxlScript).
